Presidents Message – Palmerston Fair

Message From the President

Where have you bean?

President Christian Feldskov

The Palmerston Agricultural Society invites you to come and celebrate 2023 with us as we ask, “Where have you bean?”

This year we kicked off with our Annual General Meeting—a chance to review and celebrate the previous year’s achievements. Our first year of events back post-COVID was a great success, and we can’t wait for the year ahead to be even better!

So far, our first event of the year, Ladies Night, returned with a sold-out crowd. The Pre-Seeding BBQ was back with a new venue and a sizeable increase in tickets available. Mark your calendars for July 21st and 22nd for our new and improved Tractor Pull. The Palmerston Pull Crew is partnering with the John Deere 2 Cylinder Club, making the event bigger and better than ever before!

The week of August 21st our volunteers will be busy setting up for the fair. If anyone has some free time, we are always appreciative of a helping hand. Volunteers are the engine that drives our success. Wednesday of that week, come and join us to welcome our new representatives at the Ambassador competition and the official opening of the 2023 fair. Come out Friday, Saturday and Sunday, you will not be disappointed! There is a full slate of family friendly activities and events.

We can’t forget the Ag Awareness Day in September offered to our local grade 6 students as well as the Tri-County Tractor Tour in October.

Thank you to everyone for making the events we ran in the last three years a success. We look forward to seeing friends and neighbours new and old throughout 2023.

Looking forward to seeing how you’ve ‘bean’!

Christian Feldskov
